Meet Our Dentists

A graduate of New York University’s College of Dentistry, Dr. Allen Ressler has practiced dentistry in Miami since 1971. Dr. Ressler has been on the attending staff of Mount Sinai Medical Center since 1971 and was instrumental with teaching in the general practice dental residency program. He was co-director of the program from 2002 to 2004.

He was also an attending and involved with teaching in the general practice residency program at Miami Children's Hospital from 1971 to 1981. Dr. Ressler was on staff at Miami Heart Institute from 1971 until it became part of Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is a past delegate to the Florida Dental Association, a past Board Examiner for the Florida Board of Dentistry as well as a past president of the Miami Beach Dental Society. Besides Florida, Dr. Ressler also has a license to practice in New York.

Dr. Andrew Hirschl, who has been in private practice in Miami Beach and North Miami Beach since the completion of his residency training program in 1981, serves as chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Hirschl is also a Past President of the Miami Beach Dental Society and is a spokesperson for the South Florida District Dental Society.

His other activities include contributions to Mount Sinai Medical Center as a board member of its Foundation since 1995, serving as Vice-Chairman 1999 to 2000 and then Chairman 2002-2004. The civic duties that Dr. Hirschl has undertaken include serving as councilman of Bal Harbour Village from 1989 to 2001. During this time on the council he was Assistant Mayor from 1997 to 1999 and Mayor of Bal Harbour from 1999 to 2001. Dr. Hirschl was also a member of the City of Miami Beach Police Department as a Reserve Police Officer.

Dr. Ira Lelchuk, who has been practicing dentistry since 1981, has been on the attending staff of Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Children's Hospital and the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged at Douglas Gardens since 1982. He earned the Fellowship Award of the Academy of General Dentistry in 1993.

Dr. Lelchuk has lectured locally on nitrous oxide, oxygen analgesia, oral health care for the elderly as well as dental radiography for dental auxiliaries. He is a past president of the Southeast Florida Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as the Greater Miami Chapter of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. Dr. Lelchuk also served on numerous committees of the Southeast Florida District Dental Society and the executive board of the Miami Beach Dental Society. Besides Florida, Dr. Lelchuk also has a license to practice in Maine, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
